March 5th

Today we read an essay by Leah on "Prison Sweat Lodge". This essay again went through the 3 stages of writing. She free wrote, brainstormed, clustered, and listed all of her ideas. Following this she began to outline and organize her essay. She then wrote her draft essay and then edited it with CLUESS and COPS, after she finished this stage she was capable of completing her essay. I hope some one can fill me in on what we did after this so I can catch up to you all and if we had homework.  Thanks guys!

    She surely did go through all the stages of writing. When I look at all that she had to write it seems like so much to do, but I bet it becomes way easier to put the essay together. The editing part of her essay seemed like it made a huge difference in her final draft.

    I agree with Serena. It made a huge difference. It does make putting the essay together easier. If we did not go through all those stages, I believe we would spend more time revising it.
