Midterm Assessment.

Today we became guinea pigs for the first midterm assessment. Dr. Rivera said we were the first class that has done this; I am pretty much use to the idea of being a guinea pig, since I have been one the majority of my life. So this isn't a first for me, not even a first here in Guam. I was used as a guinea pig for the stitches I recieved in my leg after falling. I did choose to write about people either keeping or following a country's customs if they had just moved to a new country. We also have a midterm essay that is due tonight at midnight. I plan to get this in as soon as I get home, since Serena peer reviewed it for me before class today. Since technology hates me and my word processer decided not to work for me all weekend long. I appreciate not having to hand it in as soon as we came to class today so I can do my best in the class without being knocked down by something I can't control. I just know that I told my husband he isn't taking our newest laptop with him when he leaves again so I can avoid this problem.

  1. I'm sorry to hear about your stitches, is there a scar? If there is any, I think scars are pretty cool. As far as our essays not being due at the start of class, i appreciate it as much as you do. I became ill this weekend and i had no energy to start my paper. I hope you complete and have a very efficient paper with your new laptop!

  2. I chose to write about whether a teacher's lectures were best over allowing students to do all the talking. I do not think technology hates you; it just like testing your patience. :) Now you have the extra time to perfect your essay and do your very best before the clock strikes 12. I enjoyed going over your essay and peer reviewing it. It gave me that extra practice.
