Second Day

Today we learned what MLA stands for; Modern Language Association. I've learned what it was before, but I guess it never seemed to stick. We also read an essay called, "The Struggle to Be an All-American Girl." She was Chinese and American, but wanted to be "All-American." I think that if you are multicultural, you should be proud of all that you are instead of just one. Being of many cultures could give you  more to be proud of. Part of the discussion was to give her advice; many of my class mates had great advice to give her. One was, "Just be happy with who you are!" That is the best advice you could give anyone. I also give a thumbs up to my other class mates who had the courage to participate and speak up in class during the discussion!

  1. Why thank you! I just felt bad that most people didn't want to engage in the activities. But yes "Just be yourself" is the best advice that anyone can give anybody. Its just great when people can be who they are and not be a "fake" person. I hate it when things don't stick and you have to learn them over and over. I hate that, one reason why I don't want to do my math.
