Editing

We read about the final step of the writing process. It is the part when we go over our paper one last time to look for any mistakes we might have missed. I enjoy helping my peers during this stage. It is easier for me to spot out mistakes on a paper I have not read before, rather than my own. The most common mistakes to look for are capitalization, omissions, punctuation, spelling (COPS).

  1. I agree, it is easier to find mistakes on someones work than your own. But I am going to try and read my work after a day to see if I can spot any mistakes myself.

  2. Same here, Letting my friends or family read my paper is much easier. Sometimes they find mistakes that I don't see.

  3. But also, there are times when you would have to write a personal essay and some people might not feel comfortable letting their peers go over their paper. Waiting is a good method in that case.
