Today we discussed the parts of a paragraph. It is not only what makes an essay whole, but there are specific parts. I learned today that there is much more to it. A paragraph has a topic sentence or thesis, supporting sentences, and some have concluding sentences. There are two patterns: A and B. Pattern A has a topic sentence and supporting sentences, while pattern B has those and a concluding sentence. It was quite easy for me to distinguish between the two. We were also advised of some key points or "hint-hints" to study for our upcoming test on Monday. I have to say that I am very nervous. It is the first test of the class and semester, so I hope that I start it on the right note. Make sure to study hard and good luck everyone!

I actually had no idea that there were two types of paragraphs. I found this so interesting. I also just have a hard time wrapping my brain around the fact that I don't remember that being taught in High School. I am nervous about the test on Monday, I hope we both do well. Good luck!!!
