Listing, Clustering and Outlining
The three techniques given to help a writer organize really lends a helping hand. Listing, clustering and outlining are the three techniques. I think I use listing when I am taking notes and when I am in a rush. The last time I remember using outlining and clustering was for my English class my senior year. Outlining was required for my last paper of the year. It helped when putting the final touches to my paper. Without those steps, I do not think it would have been that easy.

I find it funny how, back in my schools, we were taught these things and we were never required to use them. It is quite strange, and then they wonder why our students are falling behind all the other countries. I'm just happy to know that there are schools that still require students to use the techniques to help write a paper.
